It was a top of the table clash at Bench Buddy Are It was a top of the table clash at Bench Buddy Arena as 2nd placed Steelers took on the league leaders, Sheffield Knights this evening. Steelers were looking to gain revenge for the narrow defeat at Concord earlier in the season and from the first ball drop you could tell the team were up for the challenge! After 3 periods of quality ball hockey the Steelers took the 4-1 win and in doing so leapfrog the Knights and take that top spot once again 🧡 For the moment Sheffield is once again Orange 🍊 and it’s going to be a close fight for title over the next few months
Last night some of our Steelers Ball Hockey U13’ Last night some of our Steelers Ball Hockey U13’s were VIPs at the Sheffield Steelers v Fife Flyers game. Big thank you to our sponsor Bradwell Skips for organising the visit and giving the team a great night out at the Arena. The boys loved the chance to go behind the scenes and visit the dressing rooms, meet the players and watch the teams warm up from the players bench. One of our players, Charlie, even got the chance to join his dad on the ice at the end and present the man of the match award in front of 6000 fans!! @bradwellskips

In a fantastic advert for junior ball hockey the Steelers went unbeaten all day and came away with the trophy after a victory over local rivals Nottingham Huskies in the final. After a narrow defeat last week against the Knight After a narrow defeat last week against the Knights the Steelers bounced back with a great 12-4 win against the Leeds Rams. Special mention to Simon Ward who enjoyed a 2+4 game 👍
At 5-1 down going into the 3rd period many teams w At 5-1 down going into the 3rd period many teams would have given up but not the Steelers. The team gave everything they had and launched a great comeback but just came up short ending up on the wrong end of a 5-4 scoreline. Big shout out to James Woodhead, Dan Arnell and Alex Adams who all made their competitive debuts for the Steelers Steeler are back in action next Sunday against the Leeds Rams. 8pm at Bench Buddy Arena

Steelers Ball Hockey Club returned to the Tier 3 C Steelers Ball Hockey Club returned to the Tier 3 Central Conference with an emphatic 9v3 win over the current league leaders, Nottingham Hyenas Steelers won the first period 3-1 with goals from Cooper, Bolger and Harper More of the same from the team in the second period with 4 unanswered goals stretching the lead to 7-1. Packwood and Reynolds each getting 2 goals apiece Hyenas fought back early in the third period and scored on the powerplay after Reynolds was serving the first Steelers 2min of the season for a hooking penalty and scored another with a great breakaway from Baker. In the end though the comeback was too little too late as Steelers scored a further two goals of their own through Packwood and Slack to seal the 9-3 victory. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cranny ⭐️⭐️ Reynolds ⭐️ Cooper Thank you to Steve Ward for timekeeping and Lewis Brown and Brett Ellis for refereeing

The game went back and forth with the Steelers eventually coming out 7-6 winners . Fancy playing ball hockey? What is ball hockey? B Fancy playing ball hockey? What is ball hockey? Ball hockey is similar to ice hockey but although there is contact it is a non-checking version of ice hockey where we wear trainers and run rather than skating on ice After a few seasons away the Steelers are back and playing in Tier 3 of the Central Conference. We have a mixture of experienced and beginner players with both male and females in the team. Our season starts in@a few weeks and we are wanting to finalise our squad ahead of the new season We train on Fridays 7-8.30pm at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College and league games start in September Get in touch if you fancy coming down for a session
